The Rosary is a form of prayer that has become increasingly important for the life of the Christian people since the 13th century until today. It is based on the fundamental formulas of the Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory, as well as the Salve Regina and the Lauretan Litanies. These formulas are used to meditate on the decisive moments of Christ's life, so as to fully retrace the event of his Incarnation and his Passion, Death and Resurrection. The Church therefore recommends that every stage or "mystery" of the Rosary be introduced by a short sentence or biblical reading, so that the memory of the event of Christ takes place according to the unparalleled expressions of the Word of God. In fact, there is no speech more incisive and profound than the Word of God, especially in so many of its fundamental "pearls." So the Edith Stein Study Center offers in this section some collections of short readings and very short readings for the twenty mysteries of the Rosary, from the various Bible books. In fact, not only can the Gospels narrate these twenty mysteries, but all the rest of the Bible, as it totally converges on them, telling them directly or prophetically or explaining their profound meaning.

Il Rosario è una forma di preghiera che ha acquistato una sempre maggiore importanza per la vita del popolo cristiano a partire dal XIII secolo fino ad oggi. Essa si basa sulle formule fondamentali del Padre Nostro, dell’Ave Maria e del Gloria, nonchè della Save Regina e delle Litanie Lauretane. Queste formule vengono utilizzate per meditare i momenti determinanti della vita di Cristo, in modo da ripercorrere interamente l’avvenimento della sua Incarnazione e della sua Passione, Morte e Resurrezione. La Chiesa raccomanda perciò che ogni tappa o ‘mistero’ del Rosario sia introdotto da una breve frase o lettura biblica, così che la memoria dell’avvenimento di Cristo avvenga secondo le espressioni ineguagliabili della Parola di Dio. Non c’è infatti nessun discorso più incisivo e profondo della Parola di Dio, specialmente in tante sua ‘perle’ fondamentali. Perciò il Centro Studi Edith Stein offre in questa sezione alcune raccolte di letture brevi e di letture brevissime per i venti misteri del Rosario, ricavandole dai vari libri biblici. Infatti, non solo i Vangeli possono narrare questi venti misteri, ma anche tutto il resto della Bibbia, in quanto essa converge totalmente su di essi, narrandoli direttamente o annunciandoli profeticamente o spiegandone il significato profondo.
